Special Collections + Archives Photocopying + Scanning
For the Special Collections + Archives
Researchers are welcome to copy materials for their personal use. Our photocopier, microfilm printer, and microfilm scanner are all available for patron use.
Detailed pricing information is provided below:
Self-serve photocopies: $.10/page
Staff photocopying: $.25/page
Microfilm scans: free (researchers should bring CDs, DVDs, flash drives, or other media for copying their scans). Printed images cost $.25/page
Scanning is also available. Please contact Special Collections and Archives Department staff if you would like to receive scanned images. All scanning is done by department staff, but we may be able to scan images on-demand.
Scanned images: $.25/scan for personal use (200 dpi JPEG or PDF format)
We can also provide higher resolution scans for use in publications or public display. Members of the UW-Eau Claire campus community, including students, are encouraged to discuss their requests with the department staff because we may be able to provide high-resolution scans at a substantially reduced cost.
High Resolution Scan: $5.00/scan (600dpi/TIFF format)
Change machines are available on the first floor of McIntyre Library. Special Collections and Archives Department staff may assist researchers in copying fragile materials. Researchers are also invited to make copies using their own digital cameras. For packages (not envelopes) mailed in the United States, there is a $10.00 shipping and handling charge. We will provide a more detailed quote for patrons requesting packages (not envelopes) mailed outside of the United States. For all orders over $30.00, we request pre-payment prior to shipping packages.
These fees help support the operations of the Special Collections and Archives Department and help to continue providing researchers with access to these collections. Please contact Special Collections and Archives Department staff for more information.
